Interview with Bruce, Jen, Crystal, Allison and Deanne

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Bruce: Since we left each day, we were only allowed to have the clothes on our back
Jen: Absolutely none, every piece of clothing and personal item is taken off and all clothing provided by jail
Crystal: We were allowed to wear "street" clothes and the policy was you could only bring in one change of clothes.
Allison: Tjey gave you stripp pants strip shirt pink underwear pink sock anf a pink bra
Deanne: Just what you had on when you came in that day. They did pat each person down before you were able to check into the tents each day.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Bruce: The inmates who were not on work release or work furlough had black and white striped outfits to wear along with pink underwear and pink sandles.
Jen: You were issued a gray and white striped shirt, a striped grey and white pair of pants, one pink half tank top used as a bar, one pink pair of underwear, a pink pair of socks, and one pair of orange slip on rubber shoes
Crystal: We did not have a set uniform but the standard clothing was jogging pants and a sweatshirt. You could not have anything with draw strings or anything with a hood.
Allison: I jusy was very detailed about what I was wearing or what they they gave us to wear how many timrs are u gonna ask
Deanne: I was not given a set uniform, I was able to wear my own everyday clothes. Although the nes who did have a set uniform wore this: Black and White Stripe Shirt and Pants, pink underwear and socks, and pink sandals or white tennis shoes.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Bruce: No, the inmates in stripes wore all the same clothes and we all just wore whatever we were going to wear to go to work that day.
Jen: Everyone was issued the same amount of the same clothing
Crystal: No, but when I was being released they were very specific that you would be charged if you tried to steal the pink Maricopa county jail long underwear from outside the prison.
Allison: No u just get strip no colers just strip .
Deanne: No. It was all the same. Black and White Stripe Shirt and Pants, pink underwear and socks, and pink sandals or white tennis shoes.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Bruce: There were no women in our tent area, but the women's side had stripes and clothing just the same as us
Jen: The mens clothing appeared to be the same except they were issued pink boxers not panties
Crystal: For the assigned clothing both men and woman wore stripes.
Allison: No we all wear the sam thing
Deanne: No, everyone was able to wear there own clothes besides for the non-work furlough people. Although,both men and women on non-work furlough all wear the same things. Black and White Stripe Shirt and Pants, pink underwear and socks, and pink sandals or white tennis shoes.
