JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail? Matthew: Its gunna be hard on you both mentally and
physically, regardless. But if anything, the one
thing to remember the most is to BE COOPERATIVE.
No matter what happens to you BE COOPERATIVE. The
guards dont play around with attitudes or foul-mouths. Michelle: when they first get there, they will be in
intake. typically 3-4 days. it is only after
they are housed that they can schedule visits.
if you can send them either comminsary packages
or put a couple bucks on there books. Art: I woukd say to worry about yourself and really inspire motivate
and just support the one going in..mistakes are meant to be
made in all different ways...just know that theres always a
chance for change.support because when you go in is a
complete different world yiu will never understand till your in
JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them? Matthew: BE COOPERATIVE. Avoid racey or vulgar comments
towards inmates and guards. Keep to yourself and
treat the others around you with politeness,
regardless. Stick with the small talk to keep busy
and communicate. It works immensily on your behalf. Michelle: do your best to get along with inmates and
staff. don't get on the classification officer's
naughty list and try to get yourself into a
daily rutine to help the time pass. Art: Find yourself repair some relationships set some gosls work
on your faith and persevere..learn something new read write
work out anything to benefit you on the inside always has a
good outcome
JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to. Matthew: was placed in a mental institution for 36 hours,
drugged up on medications. also been to therapists. Michelle: none Art: I have been in juvi in yuma boot camps el paso juvi la county
durango twmpe jail
