JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)? Matthew: You were not allowed to bring your own clothes.
you were assigned a jumpsuit and sandals, with an
option to purchase jail clothes and shoes through
the catalogue. Michelle: our jail stopped letting people drop off stuff
like mentioned above. it all has to be ordered
through comminsary and is very expensive. Art: You can have no clothes brought to you in yuma county they
used to allow whie tees and sock undwear but it got too hectic
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you. Matthew: It was a orange 2-piece outfit. Both the pants and
shirt were made from heavy duty denim. It had the
county initials on the back and you were required
to wear your nametag at all times clipped onto the
single pocket. I also had standard issued white
and black sandals that were given to me. Michelle: there are only four colors of uniforms in the
whole facility for both men and women. there is
red, orange, green, or blue. they are comparison
looking to beat up scrubs Art: Unifornm is socks shoes always on and then you scrubs your
color determines your class and your id with yur number which
has to be visible at all times
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned? Matthew: Mediums were hard to come by so for my stay I wore
larges to extra large. pants that fit were the
hardest to find. Michelle: not in the county jail. the only thing that
differs one piece of clothing from the next is
size and color Art: Ya the bob barkee seem to be a big hti
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women? Matthew: No, every inmate wore the same outfit. Women were
not present, with the exception of the nurse. Michelle: no...they were all the same. Art: No not much they grt their bras and underwear other than that
