Meals

Interview with Erik and Clayton

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Erik: Three.
Clayton: Three.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Erik: Pretty good. Not terrible. A lot better than the food at Solano County.
Clayton: On a scale from 1-10 I would go with a 5. Nothing spectacular.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Erik: One of my favorites was chicken on the bone, served once a week. They serve their hot meal at lunch time and sack lunch for dinner so they can close down the kitchen by 5.
Clayton: A lot of potatoes, chicken, beans and rice. It wasn't bland and it was spiced pretty well. The problem was the portion size was too small.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Erik: You can buy commissary.
Clayton: If you were on some type of medical thing they would give you meals. If they had extra's they would give them out to the inmates.
