Interview with PJ, Katherine, Jimmy, Baldy, Max, Karen, Richard and Danielle

JM: How many different blocks were there?
PJ: 2
Katherine: not sure becuase I was always in the upper annex. No cells.
Jimmy: 4 and the tents and womens jail
Baldy: many too many to mention
Max: 4
Karen: Im not sure, I think theres only one for the women, unless they get put in medical
Richard: many at least five blocks i think
Danielle: there were no cell blocks where i was.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
PJ: no
Katherine: There is this one called "THE BUBBLE" thats where you go if your under 21 or if you have mental issues or if your gonna commit suicide or somethin, That is the most horrible place. The COs dont come around to let you go to the bathroom every 15 minutes like theyre supposed to so the inmates housed there ended up doing it all over the floor and living in it. Or throwing it. I was housed in the Upper Annex and the dorm was known as U2 dorm. Next Door was U1 dorm. And The lower annex was L1 and L2 dorms.
Jimmy: juss 100 200, etc
Baldy: 500
Max: A,B,C,D
Karen: Dont know
Richard: 100,200,300,400 the womens annex, and the tents for inmate workers
Danielle: i was at the annex for women. we had upper 1 and 2 and lower 1 and 2. i was in l2

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
PJ: women vs male inmates
Katherine: Not sure.
Jimmy: 100 was for juveniles being charged as adults, 200 was for young first time offenders, 300 was people being charged with murder, attempted murder,400 was the trustee pod then you had the tents box and bubble
Baldy: different ones for different blocks
Karen: Felons,misdemeanors,and crazy people
Richard: the bubble is for the mentally ill inmates.the main jail houses the inmates in population, and the tents house the inmate workers that work outside the jail facility during the day
Danielle: lower 1 was lockdown and the bubble where they house mental inmates and those that get in trouble. l2 is medical. u1 and u2 were just for regular inmates. small compound

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
PJ: I did not observe the worst block - only heard gossip between other prisoners.
Katherine: The worst places were THE BOX which is only a 6x9 room and THE BUBBLE which is the nastiest place ever.
Jimmy: i was in 200 the whole time it was nicer from what i heard
Baldy: Nothing
Karen: Theres NOTHING NICE in that jail
Richard: i was only housed in the main jail in 400 pod this time but i know that in the tents as a worker sometimes you get extra food sometimes as a working privilege and getting a little bit of time reduced from your sentence as apposed to 5 days a month as an inmate
Danielle: trust me there was nothing nice about any of those damn dorms! there was mold everywhere. the walls leaked when it stormed. the laundry room was the kitchen. there were bugs and roaches and ants. and biting grasshoppers. thry scared the bejesus out of me! yeah it was pretty bad in there.
