JM: Did you have regular access to telephones? Bruce: yes but it was too expensive Cherry: No, phones were only on during certain hours and
were voice activated so if it is loud in the
housing area, you will never get through. Plus you
have to say your recording EXACTLY how you said it
the first time or it will never recognize you. Damien: hell no cause they change it Derrick: Only if h had money on ur account wich I did not
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls? Bruce: your charges dont matter about the phone. but on
a average some inmates spend at leat 200 dollars
a weak Cherry: There were free local calls to bondsman only. Other
than that there were calling cards or loved ones
had to be set up on a prepaid account. Damien: long distent phone where like 15 dollars a phone
call and local was 2.50 a call Derrick: It's deff expensive it's like 4 a call I think plus your family ha to
pay money to have it available on there phone
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out? Bruce: no you can just used the money on your account Cherry: Yes, they were sold through commissary. Damien: no the person had to set it up Derrick: Yes u have to pitches ten through consist
JM: Did the jail screen your calls? Bruce: i believe so, even though really dont know Cherry: Yes, and they record them for potential evidence to
be used against you in court later. Damien: yes they record all calls Derrick: Every call made is recorded
