Interview with Elise, Armando, Drew, Devin and Sean

JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Elise: no
Armando: yea every time on open room
Drew: Sometimes, mostly I worked out deals to get three way phone calls from other inmates.
Devin: Yes. But your family had to put money on your phone account in order to talk
Sean: yes if your family can afford to add time on their phone

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Elise: not sure had no one to call
Armando: lets a 15 m call would be 5$ and week would be like 20-40$ crazy
Drew: Well, it depends on how much an inmates family member is willing to put on their calling card. It varies.
Devin: Man.You can blow through 100 bucks in a week if your not careful.Phone calls are outrageous.
Sean: each phone call is $2.50 per local call and that is only if your family can afford to add time to their cell phone or house phone

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Elise: no
Armando: no you can only call local area code which mine was 407
Drew: No, your family has to handle all that on the out side.
Devin: no. Your family had to set up an account and put money on your account,
Sean: no you are not a loud phone cars

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Elise: yes
Armando: idk they problumly do it to certin pepole
Drew: Of cours, I guess in some form or fashion.
Devin: Thet listen in on all the phone calls in jail.
Sean: yes the gym screen each and every call
