Interview with Toby, J. Friday, Jeremy, Lisa, Jenny, Brian, Alicia and Darryl
JM: How often could you receive visitors? Toby: once per day J. Friday: every day, 1 visit,up to 3 people, for 20
minutes. Jeremy: 3 times a week. But it is through video
visitation. Lisa: Once a day. Jenny: I can't remember. I think once a week Brian: none Alicia: Any visitor would have to come down to the jail
and make appt, this in turn would be what ever
was open at the time of your appt. No one could
just come in and say i want to come in on this
dasy at this time, dont work like that. Darryl: I think in pinnellas co. it was 3
times a week.i reallyy dont
remember its been so long
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Toby: no it was reasonable. J. Friday: No, its not too bad for them. Jeremy: No Lisa: No. Jenny: I'm not sure. I only had 2 visitors. And it was video visitation for
only 30 minutes. Alicia: No not really coz in my case you would be
brought to a small room with like three to four
screens, then in the visitors area your family or
friends would wait for you to how then it as all
done by video. Kinda like webcam. Darryl: I dint think so.i remeber my
wufe coming to see me often
and she never comolained..if it
had been she would have
complained.so I guess not.
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Toby: video booths J. Friday: You are locked in a room right outside the POD.
They are in a building in front of the complex
and you talk on tv's and a telephone. It's quite
terrible. Jeremy: Dont know. I was on the other end of the video
inside the jail. Lisa: Clean. It was video visitation. Jenny: You went into a small room with a video camera and monitor. Alicia: I cant answer that coz I never had any visitors.
Im sorry i cant say any more on this coz i never
had anyone to come see me so there for i spent
the whole time with no calls or visitors. it was
very lonely. it sucvk when one has no one. Darryl: Oh geeze this was a real
