Interview with Karl, Lisa, Zach, Kelly, Jeff, Maurice, Jose and Ken

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Karl: green jump suit
Lisa: jumpsuits
Zach: the only thing you can have is whites tee shirts sox and underwhere that's it.
Kelly: you were allowed under wear socks bras they supplied you with two uniforms and washed twice a week
Jeff: You could not have anything brought in from the outside. Everything had to be purchased there.
Maurice: Plain white t shirts and plain white boxers and plain white sock but none could have draw stregs
Jose: underwear panties bras socks shorts durags tshirts long johns thermal tops xand you could get sneakers but they sucked
Kelly: Nothing, you cant bring in any or have anybody send you any clothes. You have to purchase everything through commissary.
Ken: No clothes are allowed past booking. If i was allowed , i would of brought in a nice set of thermals due to its always cold at FCDC.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Karl: green jumper
Lisa: yes, green
Zach: it was a two piece orange jumpsuit the shirt had a pocket.there is also a id badge that you have to where at all times.
Kelly: the uniforms were green button up uniforms that looked like overalls you would be issued two of these and a pair of brown shower shoes
Jeff: I was given a one piece jump suit that was like a greenish gray color and was very uncomfortable and was also either one size too big or too small. Shower flops.
Maurice: Some times they would look new and clean but i have got a few that looked like something had been eating on it and looked like it had never been washed
Jose: the shiert was orange it felt like worn out jeans the pants were also orange and were actually slighty comfy and the sandals were rubber and orange as well
Kelly: I was issued one white t-shirt, one pair of underwear, one pair of socks and one over sized green jump suit. Also was issued a pair of orange shower shoes.
Ken: Green Jumpsuits was the primary uniform at the county jail. You got lucky if you recieved one that actually fit and wasnt ripped. You was allowed to buy clothes such as socks , t-shirts, and thermals on commissary.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Karl: rarely given out t shirts they bill you for
Lisa: I dont know
Zach: yes sox and tee shirts you can never have to many.
Kelly: no all the uniforms were the same and they gave them to you
Jeff: No. They just give you what they wanted to and you have no say on the matter.
Maurice: No we always got what we needed sometime it didnt look like we may had wanted them to but o well its jail
Jose: not really but you should always try to get some basketball shorts
Kelly: No, everybody got the same thing and you didnt get to pick.
Ken: Not really, just pray for what people you know to leave you hand-me-downs.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Karl: not really just under garments
Lisa: no
Zach: no it was the same thing
Kelly: I believe the clothing was the same
Jeff: No as far as I remember they were the same color jumpsuits.
Maurice: No some times diff collors
Jose: only the underwear and females could get bras
Kelly: I dont think there is much difference but Im not for sure.
Ken: No, everybody wore the jumpsuits.
