Good Behavior

Interview with Karl, Lisa, Zach, Kelly, Jeff, Maurice, Jose and Ken

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Karl: no
Lisa: no
Zach: no I didn't get out early for good behavior but I sent letters to the judge tried to.
Kelly: no I did not I did not know there was good behavior
Jeff: No I did not. I ended up getting out on shock probation.
Maurice: No i wasnt givin the chance i have never been offerd that
Jose: no i did not i was 180 days and served 189
Kelly: I do think my good behavior helped me get out to go into rehab.
Ken: I didnt have good behavior when i was in FCDC. Once when I got close to the end of my prison sentence I was allowed to get out six months early due to my good behavior.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Karl: i have no idea
Lisa: ??
Zach: you cant get any off that I am aware of unless it is state time.
Kelly: I don't know anything about good behavior
Jeff: Again I did not get good behavior so I really do not know how that process works.
Maurice: None they have never offerd me anytime off for anything
Jose: i believe is 4 days per month
Kelly: Im really not sure because I didnt serve my sentence out.
Ken: I really dont know, usually people get time off for telling on other people , not good behavior.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Karl: be good
Lisa: n/a
Zach: yes if you work you can lose time off. and you cant fight or misbehave or you can lose what they call good time. I never seen anyone lose good time
Kelly: I don't know anything about this but I would imagine fighting or any type of disconduct would stop some one from getting time off or good behavior
Jeff: As far as I know any type of jail violations will take off good time such as fighting or dealing in any type of illegal contrabands well as many other things.
Maurice: Fighting or breaking any of the jail rules if you do not follow the rule its going to make your time very hard and sometimes for other people
Jose: fighting, contraband, arguing with guards, cursing things that would get in trouble plus u may end up shipped to the hole for a total of 15 days
Kelly: You always need to be respectful and comply with the guards. Dont need to get into fights or cause disruption in the cell. Never participate in smoking or the use of other drugs. You just got to do your time and not break any rules or do any shady stuff. I witnessed girls going to the hole but not losing good time.
Ken: You must maintain a job and good behavior. More or less you must be the roll model inmate which is almost impossible when you have inmates and officers that fall under the misery loves company statistics.
