JM: How many different blocks were there? Karl: Where I was at was 3 tiers with 48 cells on either
side, two man per cell. They also had modular
units which were dorm style. Willie: there were 4 blocks if i remember correctly.
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they? Karl: They called them tier 1, tier 2, mod 1, mod 2 Willie: We had c pod a pod b pod Work release if you made it there from
what i remember, so four when you are sentenced.
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks? Karl: I don't believe so. I think they were all mixed in
together. Willie: A pod B pod and C pod all seemed like there were a mix of different
inmates, while Work release (cwp) was for people with good
behavior for a long period of time
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks? Karl: Worst part in general being away from people that
I love. The guards were power tripping assholes.
not at all nice. One of the officers was cute. She
was the nicest thing about being in there. Willie: Worst part of the blocks are the people. Hard to get along with
most, while i did get friendly with a few., i had to move to seg a lot
because of fighting with the inmates. Most of the inmates will tell
on the drop of a hat. Also a guy named "artie" finds everything,
including drugs weapons and cigarettes from watching the cameras
and searching everybody constantly.
The best part I heard was getting to CWP because you can watch tv
(there are no other tvs in the jail, at all because rioters broke thm all
a long time ago and they were never replaced. I also heard people
get in cigarettes and drugs all the time there.
