JM: How many meals did you get per day? Karl: 3. Willie: supposed to give us 3 a day, but if you were in the hole (seg) they
might not like you so they would take a meal...or tell you they spit
in it, the cos are terrible people mostly.
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why. Karl: I went to culinary food so I would rate it
extremely poor 1.2 Willie: very bad food. The food is bad except for the pancakes because if
you need a special diet they do not give it to you because they dont
care at all. if you are diabetic and need 2 trays medically they wont
even give it to you and you will have to be dying for the nurse to
finally come up and give you a cracker. ive seen that specifically, it
is inhumane and doesnt happen in other jails as often i do not
think.
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals? Karl: The pancakes were okay. Can't screw that up. The
burritos were the worse. Like rock hard on
outside and goopey on inside. You could use them
as a club. Willie: The best meal there was the pancakes and they had french toast
that was very good as well, make sure to wake up for those. The
worst meals were the eggs because they were always cold.
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it? Karl: They had commissary once a week where you could
buy extra snacks and things. Willie: No there werent any snacks.
The commissary was actually really good. They offered a lot of low
priced items (compared to other MA jails) at good value.
You can get FULL JARS of peanut butter, and there are kiosks that
have touch screens where you order your commissary (not filling in
bubbles like other jail)
