Interview with John, Scott, Aaron, Bruce and Sammy
JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications? John: Yea we always had access. Scott: WE ALWAYS HAD ACCESS TO THE
INFIRMARY. Aaron: they didn't give me my antipsycotic when I was
there
Bruce: We had access to medication when they
thought it was time. Sammy: Yes we always had the access
JM: How did you get your medications? John: They would call you down to the
infirmary or the nurses would come see
you in your block or cell. Scott: THE DOCTOR WOULD COME TO YOU OR
YOU WOULD BE CALLED DOWN TO THE
INFIRMARY BY GROUP. SOMETÍMES
EVEN BOTH. Aaron: the nurses came in every morning to give us the
meds and if we weren't there then we didn't get
our meds they barely ever announced it . Bruce: We got our medications by either walking
down to the infirmary,or when they came
around to our blocks the scheduled
times. Sammy: we got our medications when they came
around to our block. or we would be
called down to the infirmary to get on
medication
JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this? John: You could loose your good time for the
month,go to the hole,you could loose
your visits,you could go to another block. Scott: PEOPLE WENT TO THE HOLE GOT
LOCKED IN THERE CELLS,LOST VISITING
RITES,AND ALL THE ABOVE SOMETIMES.
IVE WITNESSED ALL THIS. Aaron: you would have to take your meds in front of the
co and you got a d board for abusing your meds. Bruce: For abuse of drugs in jail you could loose
your good time ,wuch I've seen happen.
You can loose your
visits,commissary,phone
privlages,and,you can get sent to the
hole Sammy: if you were caught abusing drugs you
had your privlages is taking away and
you went to the hole or a single cell.
