Interview with John, Scott, Aaron, Bruce, Sammy and Janice
JM: How long was your sentencing for? John: I was sentenced to a little over two years Scott: MY SENTENCE WAS FOUR YEARS Aaron: I was sentenced to the Worcester house of
corrections for only 28 days. Bruce: My sentencing was 18 months but I got it
to a year Sammy: My sentence was one year Janice: My sentencing was for 120 days but they did not give me
credit for the time I had already been there prior to the
sentencing so it ended up being about 6 months. I was also
given 1 year probation with a 9 month suspended sentence
when I was released.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead? John: After my sentencing i was brought back
to court ,sat through all that ,and then i
had to wait for my lawyer to get my deal
and since i had the time already in they
released me. Scott: NO I DID NOT SPEND TIME IN A
HOLDING CELL I WAS RELEASED FROM
THE JAIL AFTER MY TIME WAS
COMPLETED. THEY LET ME WALK OUR
THE FRONT DOOR THIS TIME. Aaron: they put me in a holding cell that was really
small it felt to cramped in there. I couldn't
even move around in there. it was so cramped I
had an anxiety attack just from being in there. Bruce: After my sentencing no I did not spend
any time in a holding cell. What they did
was made me sign my release
papers,they gave me my belongings
and,let me go home. Sammy: After my release from the jail I did not
spend time in a holding cell. They let me
go from the jail. It was a weird feeling
leaving out the,front door of the jail. But
I felt relief. Janice: Yes I spent another 4 hours in a cell holding my belly shaking
and crying. I had no idea whether I would be released in time
for the baby or not and I did not want to lose him
