Visitor Policy

Interview with Christian and Claire

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Christian: Twice a week.
Claire: every week. You can receive visitors up to 3 times a week or 5 times if you work a job detail.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Christian: No, you just had to let them know in advance you was coming. If you got warrants, felonies or ever been locked up, you can't go.
Claire: no not at all, very easy, you sign in at the Visitor station, put all of your belongings in a small locker and then go on up the elevator to visit.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Christian: You walk through a little door and there was a small cubicle (the chair couldn't turn sideways). There is a glass between you and the visitor, talk on a phone.
Claire: The visiting booths are horrible. There is a Thick Glass between you and your visitor and you must talk through a phone to communicate at all. The glass is always dirty, there are scratches throughout the glass so it is difficult to really enjoy your visit. the booths are often hot, stuffy, and most of the phones are so low you have a hard time hearing.
