JM: How often could you receive visitors? Karl: I believe it was twice a week. THe visiting is
first come first serve. Whatever pods are
visiting, they allow the first 200 people that
show up to visit. Christine: I could receive visitors three times a week . One weekday and
during the weekend . Drew: twice a week on saturdays sundays and wednes
days only.. . . . . .
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Karl: Even if you get there early you might not get in
for the visit. There is a dress code. But the
visits are done through video monitors, so you
don't have to be searched or anything before or
after a visit. Christine: Ya . It was bad . Sometimes my family had to wait hours in
order to see mbecause there was so many people there . Drew: Yes my visitors waited 2-3 hours lines where
even longer on
holidays. . .. . . . . . . . . . . .
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Karl: The visiting rooms for inmates are in the pods. Christine: It was just a small room with four monitors and we visited
through a monitor . The visits were only fifteen minutes long ,
which was not worth it because considering my familia had to
wait hours just to see me through a screen for fifteen minutes .
Something the phone that we talked didn't work or the monitor
was blurry . Drew: Visits where by TV monitor not very good. Just
like making a phone call. but you could see your
family, when i was their honor pods had window
visits but at the time it was under construction
so no one had window visits allowed during this
time . / /
