Interview with CC, Kurt, Kimberly, Karen, John, Ashley and Michelle
JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail? CC: they need money to but soap deodorant shampoo
stamps socks t shirts toothpaste etc Kurt: Keep up the correspondences and put money on the
commissary. Visiting is important. That's about
all you can do.
Kimberly: It's just really nice to get mail. Really
important to get money on the commissary books.
Visits are also very important because you really
don't have any tie to the outside. You can't even
read a newspaper so it's important to stay
connected somehow. Karen: trustee pod for women is easy dosent even look
like jail but u cant go if ur on phych meds or
have violent crime charges n once ur there its
easy to lose trustee status. the officers and
most of the staff there were very nice n
respectful if u are to them John: Important to let The system know
someone cates for them on The
outside phone calls visits and The
inmates mental well being. Jail is a
step away from death and even The
fuilty inmayes are still human. Ashley: it is not easy doing time just stay out of
trouble , mind your business stay to yourself ,
and don't get involved with any crazy people in
jail not there to make friends Michelle: Stay to yourself don't cause trouble pray that
you don't get a lot of time and live in there
don't think about outside or it drives you nuts
really does

and follow The rules Ashley: keep to yourself mind your business , don't worry
about others just do your time and keep your mind
sharp and stay focus and read to pass the time it
gets easier Michelle: Don't do nothing to go there I would never in
