Interview with CC, Kurt, Kimberly, Karen, John, Ashley and Michelle

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
CC: blue khaki
Kurt: You got a t-shirt, orange outer shirt, underwear, loose orange pants with elastic wasitband. If you worked in the kitchen you could wear all white.
Kimberly: We got cotton pants, blue baggy v-neck shirts. The trustees had tan shirts. Everyone else wore orange.
Karen: undderwear socks t shirts sports bras
John: None you were stripped and forced to wear and share xounty socks draws and clothing
Ashley: none everything had to be brought from commissary if I needed something I had to buy it
Michelle: You could only wear what they gave you no clothes were allowed you had to put them in property

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
CC: yes khaki pants n shirts
Kurt: The orange shirt and pants.
Kimberly: Blue pants and tan shirt.
Karen: blue scrubs
John: We wore a orange jumper white socks white underwear all counry provided i wish i could have kept My own underwear at least but rules were rules
Ashley: orange color clothes uniform everyone had the same color and shoes nothing was different the men wore the same thing nothing different ugly uniforms didn't fit well
Michelle: It was dark blue shirt and pants looked kinda like nurse uniforms and big white letters on the back that said cuyahoga county jail .

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
CC: no
Kurt: No, you tell them your size and that's it.
Kimberly: Basically if you have white t-shirts when you are brought in you could keep them. Anything white. That's why people who know they are coming in with wear extra layers of white socks, white t- shirts, white long johns. Otherwise you could buy them in the commissary but they are really expensive.
Karen: no
John: No evwryone got The pure basics no more no less
Ashley: no there was no demand for these ugly uniforms in orange
Michelle: No they only give u shirt pants panties bra and socks

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
CC: men wear orange
Kurt: The women wore blue.
Kimberly: Men wore the jump suit. The women wore the two pice.
Karen: just the color the mens were orange
John: Not to My knowledge i think they wore jumpers also
Ashley: there was no difference in uniforms
Michelle: Yes the men wore Orange
