Good Behavior

Interview with Nelson, Chris and Brad

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Nelson: I was told you could, but I guess you would have to actually be sentenced to jail time. I've never been sentenced to time in jail, I was in there while I was fighting my case.
Chris: No, I served all of my time. I was not offered good behavior unless I was taking college courses
Brad: No you served your time regaurdless of behavior bad or good

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Nelson: I was told you could get a day off for every week of good behavior.
Chris: During my time you could not recevie any time off unless you were in school while incarcerated
Brad: No good behavior granted there

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Nelson: I think I was told no fighting and I guess that's basically it. Not having any problems with the sheriffs there.
Chris: Fighting, stealing..............No I never saw anyone losing time off for good behavior. People had nothing to work towards so they just did whatever they wanted to
Brad: Some low security inmates could work for time.off but i was never offered.this.oppurtunity most inmates that were giben this privelage were fired shortly after for not following rules
