Medications

Interview with Roxie and Jaime

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Roxie: Yes, I do believe the medical care and medications were adequate.
Jaime: I did not take any while there.

JM: How did you get your medications?
Roxie: Three times a day, Medical personnel would bring the medication to the tank and deliver it to the recipient through the bars.
Jaime: They had pill lines before each meal and at night, inmates would line up and receive their meds one at a time during one or more pill lines if they took meds.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Roxie: I am not sure what the punishment was, except for possibly time in solitary, or new charges. I did stockpile my medications, which was discovered. However, there were no repercussions for my actions.
Jaime: Being taken to adseg(the hole), loss of good time and the possibility of new charges up to introducing a controlled substance into a correctional facility. I never witnessed this.
