Interview with Cesar, Tom, Bruce and Jon

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Cesar: Stay in contact with them. It's hard in jail. And not knowing what's going on outside in the world could drive one crazier.
Tom: ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR YOUR ACTIONS, LOOK AT IT AS A TIME TO GROW IN THE WORD OF GOD, DO NOT LOOK AT THE DEPUTIES AS YOUR ENEMIES, THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT WAYS FOR REACHING OUT TO SOMEONE, AND SOMETHING RICKY RANDALL ONCE TOLD ME IS AFTER YOU DO THE TIME FOR YOUR CRIME, YOU DON'T NEED ANY ONE TO FORGIVE YOU, YOU DID THE TIME, NOW YOU HAVE TO MOVE FORWARD.
Bruce: its not really a rough place like some of the places i've been, and if they mind they're own business they wont have any problems, but it is one of the most worst places i ever seen to be locked up, no t.v.'s very little out time makes for long days and your time seems to drag out
Jon: The jail keeps you trapped inside like you are some type of caged animal but you gotta keep your head up and not let the shit that you are stuck inside bring you down.

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Cesar: Take this time to reflect. Pull yourself together and start taking steps to ensure you don't fall in the same nasty rut that put you there.
Tom: THINK TWICE BEFORE FIRST ACTING ONCE, ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN, WHEN I WAS RELEASED I STILL DID NOT HAVE A PLACE TO GO BUT I SIGNED UP FOR THE STATE PROGRAMS, AND NOW I HAVE A SMALL ONE BEDROOM HOUSE 5 BLOCKS FROM THE COURT HOUSE, I WAS ASKED TO DO JURY DUTY AND SERVED, THROUGH PRAYED MAKE AMENDS TO THE ONES YOU HAVE BEEN NEGATIVE TOO OVER YOUR LIFE, THERE WAS NOT ONE DAY THAT I DID NOT WEEP AND PASS THROUGH THE GATE OF TEARS 9HEBREW, AND WHEN ON THE OUTSIDE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY DO NOT TAKE IT. NEVER HESITATE TO REACH OUT TO YOUR HIGHER POWER.
Bruce: mind your own business and try getting on in the kitchen or getting some kind of job doing any thing at all, it will make your time go a lot faster if you have something to do
Jon: Don't use the words Punk or Bitch unless you are ready to throw it down. Focus on yourself and try not to get to mixed up in the hustle of the jail floor.
