JM: How often could you receive visitors? Cesar: During visiting hours. I don't remember what the
hours were. Tom: VISITORS WOULD BE TWICE A WEEK Bruce: they do it by first letter of last name and any
time its your letter you can have a visit, i'm not
sure exactly how it works i've never had a visit Jon: The visitor policy is ridiculous and you can receive
either one or two hour long visits a week but the
hours are during most normal business hours so it
makes it super difficult for anyone who has a busy
life to make any visits.`
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Cesar: Sometimes, there wasn't a booth available. Tom: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT WAS. Bruce: im not sure how check in was for visitors like i
said i have never had a visit while i was in
spokane county jail Jon: I had no visitors since the hours for visiting were
at 10-11am or 1pm- 3pm and the people who would have
came to visit work and had no time free.
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Cesar: A booth divided with Plexiglas. And visitor and I
spoke via phone. Tom: LIKE HAVING A VISIT ON A SUBMARINE AFTER ONE OF
THE COMPARTMENTS HAD BEEN CONTAMINATED WITH
RADIATION, VERY CONFINED AND NO PERSONAL CONTACT Bruce: the visiting booths are about four foot square
with a metal stool in the center of the floor a
small counter about six inches wide and glass
between you and your visitor and the same on their
side with a door they could open on their side
when the were done and a door you cant open on
your side when you're done and a telephone
receiver on both sides to talk to each other on Jon: The visiting booths are small dirty cells where you
are able to see the inmate you are visiting but cant
pass anything between each other. The booths have a
lot of wear and tear and seem to have seen better
days now having a ton of inappropriate vandalism and
a weird smell.
