Interview with Nancy and Bryce

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Nancy: All pods have visits 8am-8:30pm sundays, tuesdays, wednesdays, thursdays;unless pods are "locked-down" for security-reasons.3visitors per/visit(no matter what age)
Bryce: You got to have 2 visits per week, and they were visual monitor visits for 30 minutes each.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Nancy: Prior to receiving visitors,inmates must fill-out "visitor-request-form",turn into deputy&all visitors approved(even for my 18-month-old son)Visit-must-be-scheduled-at-least-24/hrs-in- advanced.Information-on-request-formMUST match-visitors-current-stateID-or-visitor-will-be-turned-away- upon-arrival.Visitors stated didn't have to wait,appointment was made in advance.
Bryce: I was told it took anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes from them to check in. They were upstairs on a monitor and we were underground on another monitor in our PODS.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Nancy: Outside visitors sat at a video-screen cubicle(with no door)right at check-in area.(inmates can see other visitors walking past on monitor).Inmates sat at video-screen attached to wall in each pod(no privacy).30min maximum visit, time starts when either party picks up phone(even if the other isn't seated yet).Phones cut-out,only see face via "tv")
Bryce: All visits were visual monitor visits with a phone attached. The visitor would be upstairs by the court room on a monitor, while the inmate would be on another monitor in there POD. The monitors lagged, and cut in and out. Was hard to hear the visitor, and see them.
