JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Ryan: no most of them kept to them selves and others were friendly to talk to
Ron: some inmates were rude and bossy it was scary so i didnt hesitate to resist them they were bigger/stronger than me others tried to help me since they knew i had serious medical problems
Sandra: no, because i new a few of them in jail.
Jose: yes alot of them was very corruptive and very racial they even tried to boss around others
Rob: yes i did these inmates were with gangs and others were in for violent crimes
Andre: no inmates was really no so bad i was around less offensive inmates
Jen: Surprisingly, inmates were easy to get a long with, then again I did receive commissary, which made it more bennifical to me. Some girls were mean, but I didn't pay attention to them.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Ryan: i had to be careful what i say around them much of them had to do with gangs
Ron: i had to stay clear from others that wanted to start fights /get violent in other ways i just stayed to myself kept quiet not get involved in the problems
Sandra: did not have any fights.
Jose: i had to keep to myself dont talk to any of the mean ones i mostly stayed in the cell reading and writing there was too many violence negativity going on in there
Rob: not to talk to them by staying to my self
Andre: i just sat around wait until i was ready to be released kept to myself
Jen: I just ignored people that had bad tempers or were mad due to their doings. The only situation I ever found myself in was a place I sat during breakfast, lunch and dinner. To avoid that I didn't eat breakfast and for lunch and dinner I sat at the same place most of the time with people who didn't Have a problem with me and if I did happen to make a mistake I would just get up and move some where else. I didn't need any problems, didn't want to risk me not going home.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Ryan: no they put you where ever they want you to be at
Ron: no the officers put you in any cell they wanted you in you couldnt ask to be in with the person you know to feel comfortable and not be afraid
Sandra: no, they put me in a cell with two others. that only held two people.
Jose: yes it depends on what corrections officer was there for the shift and if he was a good person about it
Rob: no the correction officer was very rude and nasty to me they should'nt had me in with violent crimanals in the first place
Andre: no the guards put you where ever there is room available in a cell
Jen: I didn't really have a cell. We were in a big room full of bunk beds lined up and no you couldn't choose who you bunked with. For a long time I didn't have a bunkie.
