Interview with Scott, Gary and Armando

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Scott: i cant recalled exactly how many blocks but its more than four
Gary: SEVEN LOCKS THERE WERE SEVEN.
Armando: There were about 30 different blocks throughput the facility.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Scott: all blocks go by numbers and name like jazz block kitch block detail blockk etc
Gary: CLARKSBURG HAD LETTER AND NUMBER COMBINATIONS AND WERE CALLED PODS.
Armando: There were all named in the order of the Alphabet. A,B,C,D

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Scott: they mixed all inmates up they have certain blocks for kitch workers, drug programs so its no telling how inmates are housed i went from a regular block to the drug program block
Gary: MAINLY THERE WERE INMATES NOT FACING MORE THAT 5 YEARS OR INMATES WITHIN 5 YEARS OF BEING RELEASED. OTHERS WERE WAITING TO BE SENT UPSTATE TO MORE HARSHER FACILITIES. FACED 10 YEARS OR MORE.
Armando: You have your kitchen workers who are housed desperately, Trustees or Maintenance workers are housed in different housing units and then, depending on what you have been charged with, you are housed together.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Scott: the officers in certain blocks have nasty attitudes, some blocks are more cleaner then other the shower are nasty in different blocks but when i went to the drug program that block was the best one to me because everythingf was clean an neat and the staff treated you better with respect
Gary: THERE WERE REPUTATIONS ABOUT THE DIFFERENT BLOCKS. SOME WERE HOUSING LOUD AND PLAYFUL INMATES THAT WOULD TALK AND CLOWN ALOT AND LOOK AT TV. OTHERS WERE MORE VIOLENT AND HAD MORE FIGHTS, HAVING PEOPLE SENT TO THE HOLE. OTHERS WERE QUIET AND DID NOT HAVE ANY OTHER PROBLEMS . THEY WOULD READ PAPERS AND LOOK AT TV.
Armando: The nicest part about the different blocks was that they are small pods. You don't have 100+ people crowded around you all day. The worst part of the blocks were the cleanliness of the blocks. The paint peeling off of the wall and there was always something wrong with the airflow.
