JM: How often could you receive visitors? Scott: visits are one a week and they have to call in
advance to be let in to seeyou Gary: VISITATION WAS ON SPECIFIC DAYS IT COULD HAVE BEEN
BY THE FIRST LETTER IN LAST NAME. IE: JONES WOULD
GET WED. AND SMITH WOULD GET FRI. Armando: You could receive a visit twice during the week and
either a Saturday or Sunday
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Scott: the check in process could take 30 mins to one
hour they havr to throughly search your vistors
before they are allowed to enter the jail Gary: I NEVER GOT ANY VISITORS IN CLARKSBURG SINCE IT
WAS SO FAR FROM MY HOUSE. BUT WHEN I GOT TO THE
MONTGOMERY COUNTY PRE-RELEASE CENTER I GOT A VISIT
ONCE A WEEK. Armando: No the check in policy was not lengthy for my
family. They Saud that they were in and out when it
cane to coming to visit me.
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Scott: the visiting environment is inmates on one side
with a phone in side each cubicle and the other
side is for the visitors with a thick peleglass
very load kids running around people crying for
they love one babies getting to see theire dad
or mom but inmates cannot touch their vistor Gary: YOU GET VISITATION ABOUT A COUPLE OF HOURS EACH
AFTERNOON AND EVENING WHERE THEY COULD BRING YOU
FOOD FROM THE OUTSIDE. THERE NO RESTRICTIVE
BARRIERS AT VISITS. WE USUALLY WOULD SIT IN THE
MESS HALL AND EAT RESTAURANT FOOD LIKE KFC OR
MCDONALDS. THERE WERE VENDING MACHINES IN THIS
AREA AS WELL. Armando: What are you asking For me or for my family. You
are too broad with this question. If you are talking
about me as an inmate then it was great to have my
family to cone to see me. Alot of inmates did nit
have any family to come see them. If you are talking
about the visitors, then I can't answer that.
