Medications

Interview with Brad, Brit, Chuck, Ben and Carl

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Brad: Yes.
Brit: no
Chuck: not applicable to me.
Ben: Yes there was proper access
Carl: NO---despite coming from another County Jail with established Medical records--zero effort was made to deal with my problems

JM: How did you get your medications?
Brad: A nurse would come around twice a day to administer the meds.
Brit: nurse
Chuck: via nurses pushing medcarts to the various units.
Ben: My medication came down the hall on a rolling cart with a nurse behind it. They would call your name, look at your wristband and give you your meds.
Carl: didn't

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Brad: PCJ guards are very abusive.....you could possible get a beat-down if caught with drugs but in general you would get a disciplinary write-up and place in the hole.
Brit: hole beat down
Chuck: i never witnessed any instances of drug abuse in jail and therefor cannot speak of it.
Ben: I never witnessed anyone being caught with drugs. If caught they would take the inmate away and bring them to the hole which was solitary.
Carl: NA
