JM: How long ago was your visit?
Tori: 1 week

JM: How many times did you visit?
Tori: 2 times

JM: How do you go about making an appointment to see an inmate?
Tori: you have to call and keep calling until you get someone on the phone. i usually end up having to keep calling and calling because the lines are busy, usually takes between 30 minutes and an hour

JM: How long did check-in process take?
Tori: check in was simple about 15 minutes but sometime it takes a long time for them to bring the inmates out because visit is at meal time. i had to wait 30 minutes.

JM: Were the guards accommodating?
Tori: not at all. they did not even take note to the fact that we were there and made us wait 30 minutes to see our inmate

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Tori: it's very depressing the walls are all in bad condition and the glass is all scratched up. you can barely hear and you have no contact so you can't touch them or anything. it's just sad.

JM: How long was your visit? Did the guards ever allow you to take extra time?
Tori: both the visits i have been on the guards gave us extra time because no one else was there for a visit. one time it was on hour and another time two hours. it is only supposed to be 15 minutes they told us but since no one else was there to visit they gave us extra time.

JM: What was the parking situation like?
Tori: the parking lot gets full close to visiting hours but there is usually always a place to park that isn't far to walk.

JM: What advice would you offer to somebody who is going to visit an inmate in this jail?
Tori: make sure you get the rules of the visits before you go. they are strict about what you can wear and take. I have a daughter and the first time that i went they have signs up saying no food or drink allowed but they will let you take things up for the baby in a clear plastic bag as well as a bottle.
