Interview with John, Raquel, Colby, Nikki, Hoyllwood, Woody, Pat, Jeremy, Lekisha, Gary, Ricky and Warren
JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)? John: white doc scrubs. Raquel: Blue for girls. Orange for boys. Sexy orange
flip flops for all. Colby: BCADC Orange Nikki: the standard jail issued, blue top and bottom, 2
or 3 dingy white T-shirts, 3 pairs of used, but
washed, dingy grannie panties, 3 pair of tube
socks, and a little rough dingy white towel. Hoyllwood: most of the girls were half dressed and most of
the guys were just wearing pants. Woody: i prefferd the tommy collection,jesus are you
people really asking this question Pat: Nothing Jeremy: None, absolutely none. Unless is was authorized
by a doctor. When you arrive at the jail all your
garments, shoes, accessories and valuables are
documented and placed in safe storage at the
jail's clothing lock up. Lekisha: 2 pair socks 2pair under wear 1 pair blue scrub pants and
one smack and a pair dhoert shoes Gary: You would get two pairs of socks to white boxers You would
get a orange jumpsuit or scrubs And you would get a pair of
shower shoes Ricky: none. your given a top bottom and 4 pairs of
boxers and 4 socks. you can exchange them 1 time a
week. Warren: Nothing was slowed after booking we were strip searched and
gave all stuff to the guard and given outfits
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you. John: white doc scrubs. Nikki: described above Hoyllwood: I don't think I made it that far into the system. Woody: it would be the orange one yea that one Pat: Orange itchy orange jump suit Jeremy: When you first arrive at the jail everyone is
issued two sets of the standard bright orange 2-
piece uniform. You also receive 3 underwears, 3
pairs of socks, a pair of sandals (hopefully your
size), a towel, a wash cloth, a basic hygiene
pack which includes a small soap, a miniature
toothbrush, a small toothpaste and a roll of
toilet paper. You also receive a bedroll but no
bed, but includes an army blanket, two bed
sheets, and a pillowcase but no pillow. If
overcrowding is not a major problem when you
arrive at the jail (and it rarely isn't), then
you'll probably be issued a bunk bed with a semi-
comfortable used mattress, otherwise get ready to
sleep on the floor, on a mattress hopefully,
until a bunk bed and mattress space opens up. Lekisha: You had to wear yr white underware yr bra 1pair if grey
socks your sandals and blue scrubs pants and short blue
thats what the females wore Gary: You have to wear your jumpsuit or your or your scrubs you
had to have socks on your boxers on and your shoes on
that's what you have to wear on a daily basis Ricky: you look like a pumpkin. orange top orange bottom.
boxers and socks. they give t shirts any more. if
its cold you cover in your blanket. Warren: We wore scrubs orange then white scrubs when I turned
trustee, I also saw people in jeans I don't know why white sox
and underwater
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned? John: Go up one size in the shoes if a size 9 get a
size 10. Colby: No assigned clothing were issued but you had to
look for the newest and available Nikki: No Woody: look for you mean we actually got to choose man
im a 140 lbs soaking wet and i got fitted with x
large go figure Pat: No Jeremy: All the clothing items I mentioned above are
almost always issued used. Every now and then
they do hand out new stuff so everyone looks for
and tries to get a hold of something new. The new
item I recommend an inmate look for when being
issued clothing is brand new underwear. That is
something that will always be in high demand. Lekisha: Yes during clothing exchange you would switch out all you
clotheswat ever is needed Gary: When close exchange comes around your love to take
change all your clothing Except for your jumpsuit it's a
separate day Ricky: no. its the same for every body. the women wear blue. Warren: No it was all the same worthless crap different colors
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women? John: Don't know. I never saw any women. Colby: yes women are blue and men are orange. Onxe in a
while you will get a bra or panties in the mens
clothing, lmfao Nikki: yes, orange for men, blue for women, stripes for
some of the trustees Hoyllwood: well yeah... we were for the most part in our own
clothing. Woody: couldeent tell ya but i would assume Pat: Yes Jeremy: The only difference between the men and women's
uniform is the color, women wear blue uniforms
and are issued, of course, panties and bras. Lekisha: Yes the clothings somewhat different thevguys war a orange
or mustard color and they would get white boxers and a
whitebthirt Gary: Yes the clothing between the women in Menards are
different somewhat different the colors are different females
were the the blue ones and they don't get boxers Ricky: orange for men blue for women red fir lock down or
confirmed gang members. Warren: The same materials and colors
