Interview with John, Raquel, Colby, Nikki, Lea, Hoyllwood, Woody, Pat, Jeremy, Lekisha, Gary, Ricky and Warren
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior? John: It was brought up to the judge when it came to
sentencing that I served and was on good
behavior and my time was reduced so yes. Raquel: No. Colby: No Nikki: no, I did not inquire about this Lea: I could have because i was in a trustee pod i was
not there long enough. Hoyllwood: Good behavior? Thats a joke. In the words of an
officer that brought me in,"Everyone who enters is
a piece of shit and deserves to be here." Woody: if this was true i would have never been there Pat: That don't exist Jeremy: Yes, I got some time off for good behaviour when
I was there. Lekisha: No I was not given good time I was release after court Gary: Yes I did get off on good behavior,, it was
it was calculated into the second thing Ricky: no, state jail time is day for day. my felonies
were state felonies.
Warren: Yes I did get trustee status an received 3 days for one day
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior? John: 1 day served equals three days if you are on
good behavior and a trustee. I would have had to
be there two months if it wasn't for that. Nikki: I think it is 2 for 1 Lea: If you are in a trustee pod you automatically get
your days 2 for one. if you become a trustee your
days are 3 for one... meaning if your sentenced to
3 months you only serve one. Tell them you want to
work as soon as you get there. Hoyllwood: ??? Woody: 2-1 Jeremy: Four months in a calendar year. They have this 3
for 1, good time for good behavior system where
you receive 3 days of jail time credit for
1 actual day of good behavior time in there. Lekisha: If I'm correct it s 2for 1 have not gotten good time Gary: 3 for 1 as a trustee Ricky: it depends on your charge. if you are a trustee
worker you can get up to 3 days for 1 day in the jail. Warren: Three days for one day is the most I've herd of
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior? John: Need to stay out of legal trouble. Colby: Infractions with Personal or Inmates Nikki: do not get in any trouble, no contraband, no
discipline reports Lea: Drugs, hair bands, food when your not supposed to
have it. Hoyllwood: I guess fighting... Woody: fights acting like a kid Jeremy: Breaking some of what they consider to be serious
infractions such as fighting and causing serious
bodily injury, attempting to escape, assaulting a
detention officer, sexually assaulting another
inmate, putting tatoos on people and any other
offense they deem dangerous. I never heard any
one losing their good time, most everybody just
wanted to get the hell out of there as soon as
they could. Lekisha: No I never witnessed that but its pretty much listening and
obeying all rules and regulations respecting the officers and
the serts making sure you don't have any contraband during
shakedowns no fights Gary: You need to follow all rules and
regulations Did not get in trouble do not
going to fight and not get caught with
contraband did not receive any write ups Ricky: You dont get written up for fighting or
contraband. I never seen anyone lose goodtime
because bexar county jail is so over packed.
basically stay out of trouble and you get your
good time. Warren: Yes I did . I saw someone steal a roll of plastic wrap as a
trustee then lost that status and was sent to a different unit lost
all good time.
