Interview with Maria, Tommy, Mark, Marilyn, Rafael and Blair

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Maria: jump suits
Tommy: red jumpsuit white shirt boxers socks and sandles
Mark: None, they completely dress you out
Marilyn: NOTHING. they provide you with everything you need you can NOT wear any of your own stuff
Rafael: Jeans shorts and regular shirts.
Blair: None, your are given all you need. You can purchase shoes and additional boxer shorts.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Maria: coveralls
Tommy: no
Mark: Heavy red jumpsuit, plastic sandals, boxer and t- shirt
Marilyn: yes they give you a green jump suit. when you are booked in you are issued 2 jumpsuits, 3 pair socks, 3 bras, 3 pair underwear, and 3 green tea shirts, and a pair of slip on shoes. All items are usually used
Rafael: A Dallas cowboys jercy with some jeans.
Blair: I wore a red jump suit, grey socks, three pair of boxer shorts, white tshirt ad orange slip on shoes. I was given 2 suits, three pair of socks, two tshirts, a pair of shower shoes, and I purchased some shoes.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Maria: socks
Tommy: no
Mark: good t-shirts, luck of the draw
Marilyn: when you are issued your clothing the high demand items are NEW underwear,bra's,sock's and t-shirts
Rafael: No
Blair: All the jump suits are old so getting new clothing does not happen. I would ask for new shirts and socks.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Maria: yes men had red girls green
Tommy: no
Mark: do not know
Marilyn: yes men wear Red jump suits
Rafael: No just color.
Blair: Not really, we all wore jump suits. Women wore green, men wore red.
