JM: How many different blocks were there? Maria: fifty maybe Tommy: 5 pods Mark: I have no idea, but there are at least 5 floors
on each jail building with multple (up to 7
pods) on each floor Marilyn: i believe there are 4 possibly 5 Rafael: On my floor 4 Blair: On my floor there were 6 blocks (A-F)
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they? Maria: a-f pod on more than ten diffent floors Tommy: a,b,c,d,e,and f pod Mark: You are identified by what building -north jail,
what floor-3rd, what pod-E, and bunk-36 Marilyn: no there were no names just letters ie....A,B,C,D,
ect ect
Rafael: Is letter names and numbers Blair: The blocks were named by the alphabet. A-pod
through F-pod.
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks? Maria: worst or more higher points where main jail Tommy: all gp Mark: The biggest amount of inmates are classified as
minimum security--these can be murderers
awaiting trail to first time dui guys. The just
are believed to have no enemies in jail Marilyn: depending on your crime most of the inmates are
housed in the general housing area. inmates with
high power crimes are usually placed in protective
custody and where bright yellow.
Rafael: Gang releated and none gang related Blair: Four of the pods were for any inmate who had a
controling case that had to do with any sexually
based offense, protective custody. The two
remaining pods were for the gang drop outs, one
for the Northerners and another for the
Southerners.
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks? Maria: north jail was the nice and the hoe was the worst
m-j 6-a Tommy: nothing nice about waking up in jail Mark: sleeping, it is the only way time goes by fast Marilyn: well i believe to the best of my knowledge the 4
pods on the 6th floor were all the same. now the
old jail there were a lot of different blocks all
cells were different but they were very ran down
and i think there was only one toilet and shower
for every 12 inmates and they new jail is 3
inmates to a cell Rafael: My pod was a calm pod Blair: I was confined to B-Pod so I can't fully answer
this question. The nicest thing about my pod was
that I was able to establish myself in there as
the most intelligent inmate. Everyone came to me
for answers. The worst part of my pod was
hearing all the horrendous thing people did to
get arrested.
