Visitor Policy

Interview with Blake, Tyra, Greg and Eric

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Blake: Phone and glass visits twice a week.
Tyra: NA
Greg: No one ever tried to visit me so I'm not sure what that all worked like.
Eric: You were allowed up to two visits a week for an hour at a time.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Blake: they usually waited about an hour.
Tyra: NA
Greg: I dont know, never dealt with it.
Eric: I believe they had to be there a half an hour early, but at times it took longer than that to get it, apparently it was not too bad.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Blake: Not to privates.
Tyra: NA
Greg: I never got to see it and never asked anyone about it.
Eric: In the main jail the visits are done through glass over a telephone, it is very impersonal and somewhat depressing. But still better than not having them at all. in minimum securty you get to sit at a table for visits and there is a chest high piece of plexiglass which just makes it so you cant reach across and touch your visitor, as it is a no contact visit, but it is much better than in the main jail.
