Interview with Jon, Sabrina, Ronchie Boy, Gary, Lance, Seth, Liz, Nate, Duane and Aaron
JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail? Jon: The gaurds like to pick on you, hold your head
up it aint forever. Get in where you fit in,
dont gamble or run your mouth Sabrina: GET OUT STAT and get a really good lawyer money
should not be the issue. but just get out
somehow and try your best to move on. Ronchie Boy: Show respect to the inmates, they are just as
miserable as you. respect the guards to. It's
just easier that way. Try to get classified in 4
south B. Thats the easiest and best way to do
time. Gary: try not to accept collect calls they are so
expensive try to arrange some sort of other
corrispondence and may bee arrange a pre paid
calling to lower phone bills Lance: If you have someone you care about going to
SNohomish County.. the best thing you could do
for them is simply just put money in their
Books... so they have the luxury to buy certain
items that might make their stay there somewhat
less of a nightmare experience... Seth: i would tell them that they are going to be ok as
long as they dont bite into the bs that everyone is
trying to pass around they will be good. just follow
the rules and everything will be smooth runnin. one
important thing i would say is to tell them to do
their best to make it to trustee. Liz: to put money on there books,a bare min of ten
dollars a week, life can be made just a little
bearable with just a few things that most people
take for granted, a cup of decaf,a pen to write
with, shampoo tampons. Nate: to write them as much as I possibly could to try and stay in
contact as much as I possibly could because it gets very
boring in there and get you get stuck in your head very often. Duane: never say anything to anyone. friends are really
not mostly. be patient, tolerate the problems
others have. read lots of books. let the time
pass one day at a time. Aaron: put money on your books so you can order commissary
items to make it more bearable! Wright letters and
write often. Getting letters from loved ones and
friends keeps you going! Watch out for C.O.
Crumline. He is an ASS! All the other C.O.s are
okay.
JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them? Jon: eat every meal. Sabrina: sorry Ronchie Boy: There's no need to be an ass in there. Everyone
in there is already pissed anyways. You're not
there to do their time, you're there to do yours
then get the hell out. Respect goes a long way
in there so don't step on anybodies toes. Gary: get your medical health in order try to limit
what ever meds you need to take do not expect
any maedical care while your there especcialy
dental limmit how much money you bring with you
they will find a way to get it from you and
remeber this is a for profit jail!!! Lance: Bring 3 extra white t-shirts (no pockets)... 3
pairs of underwear... 2 pairs of socks... and if
you're gonna be there during fall or winter..
you gotta bring a white thermal and some
longjohns because you will be cold ALL the
time.. and you wont be able to sleep due to the
freezing conditions... Seth: if someone knows they will be serving time in this
jail my advice is stay out of trouble so you can go
to trustee so you can eat good and workout. Liz: if you are turning yourself in, bring clean white
underpants, they do not provide them for you, money
for commissary and don't listen to other inmate
for advice, just your att. don't try to make
friends there, you don't know who will take
advantage of you.don't try and take anything in
with you your not suppose to have, they will
prosecute you. Nate: to fix yourself get into reading books get into playing cards um
really just stick by yourself really you know think about your
future after jail beacuse you still have a life. Duane: never leave sb4. or is it 4sb? no matter what
program like trusty or work release do not do it.
stay there. it is the best place you can be in
snoco. Aaron: just do your time, learn the routine, don't get
caught up in the drama, try to better yourself (I
read a 700 page novel) and don't get caught up in
the recidivism of many of the inmates. Some of
the C.O.s love to yell and shout but don't take it
personally. There was always someone who would
get out of line and the C.O.s would focus on them.
I just kept my mouth shut when it was necessary.
DON'T COMMUNICATE WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX. That
will get you jammed up big time!
JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to. Gary: none Lance: First time in Jail... and Last... Seth: king county jail Liz: lynnwood jail, lynnwood washington Nate: vendo can County um de tu center but I was very little I have
been to sunray court treatment center and I have been to
lakeside Milam treatment center. Duane: the big hotel in Everett is my only home away
from home. Aaron: n/a
